The 90's

Entertainment

Movies

A great movie a remember as a kid is Patch Adams starring Robin Willams and Micheal Jeter. My favorite clip is when the have the fake bazooka guns its hilarious! I like this movie because it has comedy that anyone can enjoy and also has the life lessons... Patch Adams.

Other movies I really enjoyed were of course the Disney movies. Toy Story and Mulan were probably my favorite with The Lion King and Tarzan being next in line. To this day I still have them and occasionally watch them.

Music

Britney Spears... when i was 10 I had a couple Cd's of hers, just because I liked the music and possibly just didn't understand she wasn't exactly innocent. I can't stand her as a person and who she has become or how she acts but truthfully I have a couple Cd's of hers on my ipod and still to this day listen to them. Here is one of her songs from her more "innocent stage."

T.V.

I love the t.v. show "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", it was fascinating and always new. It kept me interested and i really enjoyed watching it! Some other shows that I still watch today are ones like "That 70s Show", "Family Guy", and "Law and Order SVU". These shows are exciting and fun to watch and would rather watch these than the newer ones that are out today. Other shows that I wish I could still watch are shows like "Doug" and "Recess".

Fads

Some of my favorite fads of the 90's are the claw Vending Machine you could win sweet toys out of those. Car Air Fresheners which helped cover the smell of the stinky gym clothes or the moldy food. Push Pops, Polly Pockets and of course The Macarena are some of my other favorites.

One fad that I did not like would definitely be Tickle Me Elmo. They would just laugh and roll around what is so fun and cute about that. The voice of the thing was also very annoying.

Fashion

In the Early 90's Grunge Fashion was the popular thing. The old flannel shirts and outdoor looking outfits. Piercing also became a trend. I like the casual jeans and a T-Shirt but the teenagers of the 90's enjoyed cinched belts, mini skirts, blazer jackets and the usual longer skirt.

I would like the more sporty fashion with Adidas and Nike becoming popular I would fit in that style category better. The new thing for 2010 is the 1990s fashion.

The hair style of the 90's for women was short short hair. I can't ever imagine getting my hair as short as some of these girls do. I guess I would be more into the sophisticated big hair. The in thing for women to have was the Rachel hair cut.

Inventions

A great inventions for the music lovers of the late 90's was Napster. I don't use Napster often but it's a great sight to work with. I personally love the GPS I get lost all the time and its definitely my life/time saver and helps find new places to which is great for someone like me who couldn't tell you exactly which way North is.

The lean mean fat reducing machine yup the George Foreman grill who doesn't love it? It makes your food quick and with less fat!
